You are not alone! Menopause is a life stage that every woman will eventually experience. While it might be an uncomfortable topic to discuss for some, connecting with other women who are also journeying through menopause can help you feel supported during this transition.
The exact details of this offering are still being fine-tuned, but will likely include:
A 1-hour online meeting once a month for 6 months, on a Sunday late afternoon, in which there will be the opportunity to share and learn from each other, as well as being led in mindfulness practices to support both the physical and emotional aspects of menopause and peri-menopause.
You will be taught practical mindfulness exercises and tips and tricks (including breathwork and mindful movement) to help you move through this time with greater ease, humour and grace.
We will learn how to open conversations with our partners, children, employers or employees around the topic of menopause, and how to advocate for greater support for women in this stage of life.
Other potential topics may include:
Coming back to the body
Understanding the physiology of the menopause, related problems, symptoms and how mindfulness can support you
Developing stability and resilience
Soothing the nervous system and developing mindfulness practices to ground and stabilise yourself such as gentle movement for overall wellbeing
Caring for and nourishing yourself
Sleep and self-care
Making skillful choices
Letting go of unhelpful reactive patterns
Moving forward - developing an action plan for challenging times ahead and future choices.
Above all, we will share openly and honestly in a facilitated way, with a careful balance between talking and mindful practices.

About your host:
Nicci is moving through peri-menopause and is acutely aware of the lack of conversation and support around this rite of passage, which prompted her to create this offering. She is a certified coach and registered yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator and M-Technique massage practitioner.
With a background in corporate and non-profit, Nicci gained two certifications as a professional coach (Executive & Management Coaching in 2018 through UCT; Levels 1 and 2 Professional Coaching in 2019 through Thoughtsmiths) and now works as an accountability partner and executive coach to CEOs and C-suite leaders within corporates and NGO's. She offers group mindfulness and employee wellbeing training to organisations globally, and hosts silent retreats across the country. Clients include Woolworths Financial Services, Food Lovers' Market, The SPAR group, Santam, Byte Orbit, Publicis and more.
Nicci lives in Scarborough with her two children, and manages the crazy and hot flashes with mindfulness practices and cold ocean plunges.
